The Lumpkin County Broadband Infrastructure Project is a joint effort between the Development Authority of Lumpkin County and Kinetic by Windstream to provide high-speed broadband service to over 7,000 locations in Lumpkin County. The project is specifically focused on areas designated as "unserved" by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs via their Georgia Broadband Access Map.

The project is being funded through a combination of investments from Kinetic by Windstream and grant funding from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration and the State of Georgia American Rescue Plan Act State Fiscal Recovery Fund. According to Kinetic by Windstream, The project is currently in the design and engineering phase.
